The first bottle? Let’s go!

We show you how to make the best use of the bottle.

Firstly, check that everything is included in the starter set.

Normally, you should have:

  • 3x pods
  • 1x bottle body
  • 1x straw
  • 1x mouthpiece
  • 1x lid
  • 1x strap

to be found in the package.

Additionally:

  • 1x adapter (when purchasing a Gen2 or Steel bottle)

Secondly, we recommend cleaning the bottle completely by hand, with lukewarm water & mild detergent.

Thirdly, the bottle must be assembled correctly. We show you everything in this video.

Fourthly: Put the pod on, activate and go!

 

My pod is activated, but I still can’t taste it. Why?

This can have various causes. Please check the following steps first:

  1. Check that you have assembled your bottle as shown in this video.
  2. Ensure your pod is activated.

  3. Make sure the straw is inserted all the way into the mouthpiece.
  4. Try another pod. This way, you can rule out the possibility of a defect in the pod.
  5. Completely disassemble and reassemble the bottle again.

My bottle is leaking – why?

You may not have closed the lid tightly enough.

Without the lid, your bottle will lose a little water when you tip it. This is due to the built-in pressure equalization valve – the small gap at the top between the mouthpiece and the body of the bottle.

To make sure your bottle is completely sealed, you need to put a pod on the mouthpiece and screw the lid on tightly.

This closes all air holes & no water can escape.

How do I clean the bottle and the lid?

Simply clean by hand with lukewarm water.

When we develop our products, we make sure they’re built to last. However, this is only possible if the bottle stays clean. Therefore, we recommend cleaning the bottle and the lid by hand with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Before cleaning, please make sure that you remove the pod from the mouthpiece and place it back into the resealable pod pack so that it retains its full taste.

Allow all parts to dry completely before re-assembling.

Tip to avoid moisture build-up: While using, make sure your mouthpiece is dry before closing the lid. When you don’t use the bottle store it with the lid slightly loose.

How long does a pod last?

One pod provides flavour for at least 5 litres of water!

Since we use natural flavours and no artificial ingredients, it goes without saying that the pods, unfortunately, do not provide taste forever. All pods have a best-before date (see pod packaging), which, as with other foods, is only a guide.

Do I really drink water only ?

Yes, you really do drink 99.99% plain water.

Of course, we were also fascinated by this idea in the beginning. This is why we started tests at the German Research Institute for Food Chemistry (Leibnitz Institute) and at the Technical University of Munich in 2017. The results showed that the water is 99.99% pure. If you swallow some of the aroma (which can happen during the drinking process), a very small amount of natural aroma ends up in your body. This is comparable to the amount of aroma you inhale in a bakery when you smell fresh bread.

When I drink, air comes in and it makes a noise. Is this normal?

Yes, this is actually very normal and intentional that air bubbles are included with each sip of water you take!

It’s these air bubbles that create the scent-based taste experience without anything being physically added to your water. They are the “scent transmitters”, through which you taste the flavour. When you drink, you will not swallow them, but rather exhale them naturally through your nose. The air bubbles also make a slight noise, which you’ll soon forget about when you realise how tasty your water has become!
